How can we best describe ourselves?
We share a love of bacon. (At least we're sticking to the important stuff!)
After touring with a great race car team for 6 years and the absolute decline of the construction industry we suddenly found ourselves homeless and jobless. So we did what any normal sane of mind person would do: we dropped off the majority of our stuff at the local Goodwill, loaded up the pickup and headed South. Looked at boats, bought one, moved onto it and after a year of living in sunny San Diego, there came a time when that wasn't good enough for us.
So we took even more of our stuff (what was left of it) boxed it and loaded it in small trailer, hitched it to our pickup and parked it at a friend's. We cruised the waters of Baja California, the Sea of Cortez and Mexico's Northern Pacific coast. After months of cruising we returned to San Diego.
Marie attacked a personal quest to find work. And Lee, well, he worked on the boat and improved it for real cruising. Once Marie lost all sense of hope of ever really finding lifelong work, they loaded everything back up and headed out!
